Connected and Protected Drivers

The Foundation continued to compare the different mobile Apps for mobility that are available in the market, at its Mobility App Observatory. To be precise, we have made a comparative study of the applications dealing with safe and sustainable driving. DriveSmart was the App that achieved the highest score, as it offers drivers the most complete assessment of their driving style.

The development of mobile Apps and other new technologies applied to the safety of motorists is a growing trend in the industry. The Foundation participates in the European project Adas&Me, for the research, development and testing of applications in order to detect dangerous behaviours of drivers at the wheel, related to fatigue, sleepiness and distractions, looking out for the activation of automation levels as a response.
